A Golden Retriever Can Change Your Life!

Rudy 3 yrs ADOPTED

Rudy 3 yrs ADOPTED

Rudy was picked up as stray along with Ivy, so we have only our observations to share with interested, possible “forever homes”. We estimate him to be about 3 years old.  He is very affectionate and sweet, responds well to discipline and is eager to learn.  He is crate trained and is working on his indoor manners as he was likely kept as an outdoor dog in his previous life.  He has a beautiful soft fluffy coat and hopefully his new family likes to spend time brushing him as he’ll need it to keep looking his most handsome.  GRRR’s groomer really enjoyed working on Rudy – what a transformation from a neglected and matted dog to the beautiful boy he is now!  Like many siblings he and Ivy started showing some dysfunction in their relationship and while GRRR was initially hoping for a home for them together it now appears they will be better off if placed separately.  He passed a ‘cat scan’ with the resident kitty at our vet’s office so we think he’ll be okay with cats.
Rudy weighs about 50lbs, is good on leash and enjoys all the folks he meets while walking around the park.  Playful and athletic, he already knows how to sit and shake.  Might you be the one to teach him more tricks?

Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies (GRRR) is dedicated to the rescue, placement and public awareness to ensure that Golden Retrievers are adopted by people able to provide a safe, loving home.

Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies is a mostly volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps place unwanted, abandoned or surrendered Golden Retrievers into loving forever homes. GRRR was founded in 1996 by Laura Terroux and has experienced continued organizational growth while working toward the goal of caring for our breed. GRRR re-homes approximately 300 Golden Retrievers annually.
